| When patients
purchase the FPT or the MPT, an instructional video
as well as written instructions for the use of the product
are included in the package.
How
does it work
 |
Exercises are performed in a relaxed sitting
position which supports the back. |
 |
Sitting with the back supported rather than standing
helps to isolate the a pelvic floor muscle contraction
without using the abdominal muscles or buttocks. |
 |
The fallacy of standing (as with vaginal cones)
is that it is far too easy to use other muscles
to support weight. |
 |
A sitting position also allows the user to customize
the weight of the product and regulate the intensity
of the exercises. |
 |
By adjusting the sitting angle the affective weight
of the FPT becomes infinitely variable (from
0% to 100%). |
 |
This gives complete control of the level of strength
training, making it perfect for any woman regardless
of age, physical limitations or muscle strength. |
 |
Another problem with vaginal cones is that they
fail to work both long and short muscles. |
 |
The patent pending exercise for the FPT employs
a 6 second contraction followed by 5 rapid contractions. |
 |
This series of long and short contractions provides
exercise for both kinds of muscle fiber. |
Why
the Weight?
|
1. Kegel's Work but Don't
Work! |
|
2. Less Time Involved for
Measurable Results! |
|
3. Stronger Muscles than
any other product or method on the market!
|
Most physicians
prescribe Kegel's because of strong clinical support.
AHCPR guidelines
recommend them as the first modality of treatment to
condition pelvic floor muscles for improving bladder
control.
Even though Kegel's
work everyone knows the problem associated with them…
difficult to teach, and no one is willing to devote
the time necessary do them.
The FPT is specifically
designed to enhance and accelerate traditional pelvic
floor exercises by the means of true resistant weight
training.
The weight of the
FPT has been specifically calculated to strengthen muscles
at an accelerated rate. Results are seen in weeks rather
than months. Not only are results seen faster, muscle
strength is significantly greater.
Two weeks of Kegel's
can not compare to two weeks of biofeedback weight training.
Recommended
exercise times are 5 minutes every other day.
The best results are from women who exercise 10 minutes
a day every day for two weeks and then cut back to the
recommended 5 minutes every other day.

What
is the difference between Vaginal cones and the FPT?
The FPT is the ONLY product
on the market that actually teaches pelvic floor muscles
to "lift weight" providing biofeedback
and a reliable means of measuring progress.
 |
 |
After partial insertion into the vagina the FPT
automatically positions itself so that it sits between
the Pelvic Floor Muscles. |
 |
The smaller end of the FPT is slightly visible
just outside the vagina providing biofeedback for
the user. |
 |
Women are able to "see and feel" when they perform
a pelvic floor muscle contraction correctly. |
 |
The FPT product is pushed out of the vagina if
the wrong muscles are used. |
 |
This provides additional biofeedback. |
 |
Because the unique shape of the FPT seats it
between the muscle group (not on top) it cannot
be misplaced within the vagina. |
 |
This insures proper placement every time. |
 |
As the user contracts the pelvic floor muscles,
the sloped sides of the FPT cause it to rise up
and into the vagina. |
 |
As the FPT is gently lifted with each contraction,
the force of gravity pulling the FPT downward generates
resistance. |
 |
The pelvic floor muscles do not simply hold the
product in place -- a proper contraction forces
the muscles to lift the weight
. |
 |
This is true weight resistance training. |
